Your Responsibilties

  • Manage all site related activities for the installation, commissioning and acceptance testing of industrial scale electrolyzer plants for the production of hydrogen.
  • Primarily support projects in North America, but support may be required in other regions, primarily Latin America and Europe.
  • Work closely with engineering and project management teams to create, maintain and improve installation and commissioning manuals and procedures for Quest One electrolyzer systems.
  • Occasionally oversee portions of equipment fabrication and testing at supplier factories and module assembly and testing at Quest One's module integrator.
  • Actively contribute to project execution: participate in design and constructability reviews, direct the development of assembly and installation documentation and planning of field activities, represent Quest One on site during installation, and lead commissioning and site acceptance tests.  
  • Support sales and proposal teams in planning, scheduling, and estimating the scope of installation, commissioning, and field consulting for projects under bid/negotiation.
  • Prepare site mobilization, execution, and demobilization plans.
  • Manage Quest One resources on site and work in close coordination with the Owner, EPC, and Quest One's Project Management and Field Services organizations.
  • Monitor site execution schedule and budget and provide input for progress reporting of activities to the Project Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with all local laws, HSE policies, quality policies and regulations.
  • Establish and maintain good site reporting and lessons learned feedback.

What You Bring

  • Degree in engineering, construction management or equivalent relevant work experience.
    A champion for safety in all that you do, promoting best-in-class health and safety practices.
  • Must possess the highest ethical standards, an unwavering commitment to quality workmanship, and the ability to model the highest level of professionalism.
  • 10+ years of experience as a Site Manager, Project Engineer, Field Engineer, Field Technician, Commissioning Engineer, or related role in the power, oil and gas, process, chemical, or energy industries.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate highly complex engineering, construction, and operational issues.
  • Solid understanding of project engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning practices in the United States and Canada.
  • Familiar with the OSHA Process Safety Management framework and requirements.
  • Extensive experience with and understanding of electrical equipment (transformers, switchgear), mechanical process equipment (pressure vessels, pumps, heat exchangers), instrumentation and process controls. Experience with modular/skid-mounted packaged units preferred.
  • Experience working with hydrogen, electrolyzers, or AC/DC converters preferred (Alternatively, experience installing and commissioning power generation, gas processing, or similar chemical process equipment)
  • Experience with Siemens PCS7 control platform preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 75%+ of time depending on customer project activity.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software including Project, Excel, Powerpoint, Word.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • The position involves regular walking and standing, including prolonged periods of standing.
  • The ability to safely ascend and descend stairs, ladders, ramps, and, where necessary, scaffolding is required.
  • Applicants must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds (approximately 23kg) and carry items up to 25 pounds (approximately 11kg) over short distances.
  • Occasional tasks may involve bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in stooped positions.
