Your Responsibilties

  • Full end-to-end responsibility for the successful delivery of national and international large-scale plant projects (50–300 MW), covering all phases from planning and execution through to commissioning and final acceptance.
  • Lead and inspire a high-performing, cross-functional project team, fostering close collaboration across engineering, procurement, operations and commercial functions to ensure efficient and seamless project execution.
  • Manage and coordinate complex consortium structures, establishing clear governance, aligning stakeholder interests and ensuring effective collaboration across all consortium partners.
  • Ensure full contractual and commercial execution of projects, from contract award through to final acceptance, safeguarding project objectives in terms of time, cost, quality and performance.
  • Act as the primary interface to the customer, building strong and trust-based relationships while serving as the central point of contact for all technical and project-related matters.
  • Translate customer requirements into executable project solutions, ensuring alignment with technical feasibility, contractual obligations, and overall project objectives
  • Drive project planning and execution, including the coordination of internal and external schedules, resources, and interfaces, while balancing technical, economic, and organizational considerations.
  • Ensure compliance with all contractual specifications and technical requirements, maintaining high standards of quality and performance throughout the project lifecycle
  • Proactively identify, assess, and manage risks and opportunities, implementing effective mitigation and value-enhancing measures
  • Lead the management of claims and change orders in close collaboration with the legal and commercial functions, ensuring the protection of the company’s contractual position.
  • Provide structured and transparent reporting to senior management, including the Vice President Project Execution, ensuring full visibility on project performance, risks and key milestones.

Your Profile

  • Degree in engineering or a related field, preferably in industrial engineering, process engineering, plant engineering, electrical engineering, or automation engineering; alternatively, a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience.
  • Extensive experience in large-scale plant construction and EPC project execution, ideally supported by an IPMA Level B certification or equivalent, preferably within the hydrogen or energy sector.
  • Proven expertise in managing complex contract structures, including consortia and multi-party EPC agreements, with a strong understanding of contractual, commercial, and risk-related implications.
  • Strong leadership capabilities combined with a high level of personal accountability, demonstrating initiative, ownership and the ability to drive results in complex project environments.
  • Excellent organizational, coordination and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and align cross-functional teams toward common objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in international and multicultural environments, fostering collaboration, building trust, and navigating cultural differences with confidence.
  • Strong negotiation skills, assertiveness, and interpersonal competence, enabling effective stakeholder management and successful project delivery.
  • Fluent in English and at least  B1-level in German, with the ability to communicate confidently in technical, commercial and executive-level contexts.
